To grow as a person and to feel more comfortable in our own skin, sometimes we have to look within to understand what maybe holding us back.
In our subconscious minds we often store unwanted negative emotions which we are often not aware of, but they can sabotage our thinking. These blocks maybe thoughts and emotions from a childhood experience. Something may have happened when you were a teenager/or adult and they don't necessarily have to be major events but often they are triggers of fears held within you and your subconscious mind.
The best way to look within is to take some time out and ask your Higher Self to bring these thoughts to the fore through meditation or just a stillness of your mind. You may need help through a therapist who can assist you but choose one that you feel comfortable with.
Sometimes you may have a magical 'Aha' moment when the light bulb switches on but often this can take time as it is a beautiful healing process and well worth doing. Often tears will flow, maybe even a few days later, but please remember one very important element - you need to be gentle with yourself.
